Mackerel, split lengthwise, along the middle bone, without making two half
2 small size Onion, cut into small pieces
Masala Paste
Everest Kashmiri lal Chilli Powder – 3 Tablespoons
1 Teaspoons Haldi Powder
2 Teaspoons Jeera Powder
1 Teaspoons Cloves
1 Teaspoons Pepper
One 4 Inch Cinnamon
A Ball of Tamarind
1 Teaspoon Salt
4 small cloves Garlic
2-inch piece of Ginger
1 – 2 Tablespoons of Sugar
1 teaspoons Mustard
lemon size Tamarind
½ to 1 tsp vinegar
Salt to taste
All ingredients are ground to fine past with minimum quantity of water & vinegar.
Directions
- Split the mackerel lengthwise, along the middle bone, without making two half
- Mix masala paste with finely cut onion pieces and stuff this mixture in the mackerel slit.
- Leave it in for about 5 – 10 minutes and fry on tawa with oil, preferably using coconut oil.
- Enjoy masala stuffed mackerel – goan style with rice
